Sorry for the tardiness! The Region sent the following out on March 21 regarding the Best of the Northwest Awards via FilmFreeway; many of these messages were evidently caught in spam filters. Here is what we sent:
“Thanks again for entering the Best of Northwest Awards! Due to unforeseen logistical issues, the Region will not be holding an in-person event/award ceremony this year. We apologize for any hardship this may cause. We appreciate the value of gathering and having a public ceremony for our winners, but there were too many internal hurdles for the Region to get a ceremony together for 2019.
We do invite you to attend the national Alliance for Community Media’s conference to be held in Portland from July 10-12. Registration will be open next month on the ACM’s all-new website, www.allcommunitymedia.org.
We will, of course, be announcing the winners of the Best of the Northwest on April 5, so watch your email inbox! Plaques will be mailed to winners by the end of April.
